What is ABA therapy?

ABA therapy (applied behavior analysis) is used to help individuals with autism in the areas of communication, behavior, and social needs. We use the science of behavior to help increase and decrease socially significant behavior. Each child in our therapy program will have a unique treatment plan tailored just for them. Through consultation, observation, interactive play sessions, and assessment our specialists will create a program that fits your child. Research has shown that early intervention is important to developing skills that are more difficult for individuals with autism to acquire naturally.

What should I expect?

If we are the right fit for you and your family, your child will be assessed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This specialist will write a treatment plan that is individualized to your child’s strengths and needs. Once the assessment has been approved and finalized, a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will be assigned to your child’s team. This individual will be responsible for implementing the program written by the BCBA. The BCBA will provide consistent program modifications to ensure your learner is getting the best therapy possible. The BCBA will be your main contact on your child’s team!

What should I expect during parent coaching?

At Minds in Bloom ABA, our ABA therapy programs require parent training on a bi-weekly basis to ensure consistency for the learner. Parent coaching can be conducted through telehealth or in the home setting. Just like your child’s treatment plan, your parent coaching will be unique to you and your family’s needs. The BCBA on your child’s team will help you to create a goal that you will work together to meet. The BCBA will help you to understand the science of behavior and how it can work to benefit your child everyday.

Social Skills Group- Ages 6-10

Minds In Bloom ABA is offering a peer-mediated social skills group for individuals ages 6-10 years of age. This social skills group will meet weekly upon request. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst will organize a meetup to help children with special needs interact socially. Through peer- mediated direction, children will be encouraged to interact with one another and will learn to celebrate differences. This inclusive group of individuals will build relationships and share unique experiences with one another.

Potty Training using Behavioral Science!

Minds in Bloom ABA is happy to offer exclusive potty training sessions to ensure your child is confident and consistent during toilet training.
